What we ask before showing you anything
A mattress that suits your brother-in-law may be terrible for you. These four answers rule out half the shop in two minutes.

Which position you sleep in
On your side, on your back or face down. Each position needs the mattress to give in a different place, particularly at the shoulder and the hip.

What aches when you get up
Lower back, neck or shoulders. It is not always the mattress: very often it is the pillow, or a base that no longer supports.

Whether you share the bed
When there is a difference in weight or in schedules, motion separation and the firmness on each side matter. There are solutions for that.

Whether you sleep hot
Breathability differs a great deal between memory foam and pocket springs. In Mallorca that is a real factor, not a detail.
What we stock
Mattresses
Memory foam, pocket springs and technical foam, in different firmness levels. You try them lying down and unhurried, which is the only way to know.
Bases and slatted frames
Upholstered bases, slatted frames, fixed or adjustable. A good mattress on a worn-out base performs like a bad mattress.
Pillows
Fibre, memory foam, cervical or gel, in several heights. It is the cheapest thing to change and the one that solves the most neck pain.
Adjustable beds
For reading, watching television or raising your legs, and for anyone who needs to sit up unaided. They pair with the right mattress, and not just any will do.
Trying it is the only test that counts
No spec sheet tells you whether you will sleep well. In the shop you can lie down for as long as you like, in the position you actually sleep in, and compare two mattresses back to back. That settles more than half an hour of explanations.
When it is time to change it
If you get up feeling worse than when you went to bed, if there is a dip on your side, or if it is more than ten years old, it is worth a look. Sometimes changing the base or the pillow is enough, and we will tell you so even though we sell less.
Questions we get asked in the shop
Yes, and we recommend it. Lie in the position you actually sleep in and stay there a while: the first thirty seconds tell you nothing.
It depends on your weight, your position and whether you share the bed. There is no «good» firmness: there is one that respects the curve of your spine. We work that out in the shop, by trying.
Not always, but it is worth checking. Sagging slats or an old frame will ruin a new mattress quickly. If yours is fine, we will say so.
Ask us when you place the order, as it depends on the delivery. We confirm it before you pay anything.
